Au Pair Care has a support staff, ready to help you adjust to life in the United States and learn how to successfully provide the childcare your host family is counting on.
Emergencies include situations where someone is in an unsafe situation or has a major health issue. Issues that are not emergencies that can be addressed during normal business hours include routine program, insurance, or travel questions, communication issues with host families and problems accessing online resources.
Your Area Director is your main point of contact in the United States and lives within an hour’s drive of your host family. The Area Director’s most important role is to help both you and your host family have a successful and enjoyable year. Your Area Director will:
The Department of State requires that you talk with your Area Director at least monthly. Au Pair Care encourages you to attend the monthly events your Area Director organizes.
Au Pair Care’s proprietary Infant Specialized Training utilizes a hands-on approach to train au pairs in infant safety, the “American way” of infant care giving, infant stimulation and development. Infant Specialized au pairs are certified in infant CPR and first aid by the American Heart Association and also receive instruction in infant sign language and baby massage. This additional infant care training will help nurture your baby's healthy growth and encourage language development.
